Space from Diabetes

Space from Diabetes is the first in a series of online tools and strategies SilverCloud has developed to tackle the physical and emotional challenges associated with self-managing Type 2 diabetes. Space from Diabetes was developed along with our partners Wiley and nationally recognized subject matter experts including Dr. William Polonsky of the Behavioral Diabetes Institute, Sherri Shafer, R.D. at University of California, San Francisco Medical Center and Lydia Chwastiak, MD, MPH of the University of Washington AIMS (Advancing Integrated Mental Health Solutions) Center.

The program focuses on diabetes distress and overcoming the unique emotional issues directly related to the burdens & worries of living with diabetes. Using behavioral change therapy, people with Type 2 Diabetes will see how they can make small changes that have dramatic affects on their self-management, medication adherence, lifestyle activities and ultimately improve there physical outcomes allowing them to live a healthier, happier life.
