Up to 20% of women and 10% of men develop a mental health problem during the time of pregnancy or within a year of giving birth. The Space for Early Parenting program has been designed for those who are experiencing or may be at risk of experiencing low mood or worry during the perinatal period (during birth, up until a year after birth). Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), individuals can learn to better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and learn how to make positive changes that will improve their mental wellbeing during the perinatal period.
