SilverCloud wins at Health 2.0 Europe 2016

SilverCloud Health is delighted to have won the EC2VC Investors Forum and Pitch Competition at the 7th Annual Health 2.0 conference held in Barcelona in May. The annual gathering of digital health champions took place over 3 full days exploring international innovations in patient-provider communication, telehealth solutions, wearables, consumer health, data analytics and so much more. 

Health 2.0 is a platform connecting the most active investors in the world with digital health entrepreneurs. For the EC2VC Investors’ Forum and Pitch Competition 10 start-ups pitched their projects to 42 investors. SilverCloud Health won the Growth Funding category by validating and demonstrating strong growth for its online mental health & wellness delivery platform based on improving outcomes, extending care and lowering costs.

Throughout the three days, 500 attendees and 120 speakers shared and discussed the latest developments, innovative approaches, trends, insights and experiences in the adoption of digital solutions in the Healthcare System.

The international director of Health 2.0 Europe, Pascal Lardier concluded at the end the event: “Insurance companies are increasingly involved and reimbursement of health applications is a reality.” According to Lardier, there, “is a clear indication that health applications are being incorporated into clinical practice by professionals and users and it also indicates a change in mentality of the society: we are prepared to become health consumers “. 

Among the investors was Esther Dyson, renowned US business angel (PatientsLikeMe, 23andMe, Health Tap or Omada Health); Katrin Geyskens, Capricorn Venture Partners (Belgium) and Sean Kim Min-Sung, XL Health (Germany).

Health 2.0 Europe 2016, the largest European Meeting in digital health, is organized by Health 2.0 in Barcelona in collaboration with Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Biocat and the Agència de Qualitat i Avaluació sanitaries of Catalunya (Aquas) took place in Spain in early May.
