For the past 10 years, the NHS has been working toward the delivery of an Integrated Care System which aims to break down barriers between services and deliver a holistic model of care.

Community Mental Health has been a particular focus of this transformation towards integrated care. SilverCloud® by Amwell® is widely used and has shown successful results in NHS Talking Therapies Services. As the NHS moves towards a more integrated care system, community mental health services are utilising digital to support a more holistic patient experience and enable clinicians to deliver mental health care more effectively.

Since launching in 2023, Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust has been utilising the Tools for Therapy tool to support in delivering mental health care.

Tools for Therapy is a suite of tools which support clinicians in delivering therapy. The tools free up clinician time, enable services to deliver a better patient experience and allow service to work in collaboration with patients via interactive online sessions. Therapists can choose to work synchronously or asynchronously with patients on a range of CBT based tools, and content and work is saved securely online. Tools for Therapy widens the potential of digital therapy. It supports the treatment of most presentations at Step 2 and it enables use of the SilverCloud platform at Step 3, where patients present with more complex conditions. Tools for Therapy meets the protocol-driven delivery needs of NICE recommended interventions for complex conditions.

In this webinar, Hannah Bleasby and Amy Wakeley, the clinician team at Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT), discuss their experiences of using Tools for Therapy in practice.

This on-demand webinar recording covers the following:

  • How Tools for Therapy is used in practice with clinicians at MPFT
  • Examples and use cases from MPFT clinician team
  • The benefits Tools for Therapy offers patients and practitioners
  • How Tools for Therapy works and a demo of the functionality
