ON-DEMAND WEBINAR

Using digital tools to support children and young people

Northpoint has worked with SilverCloud® by Amwell® to develop internet based cognitive behavioural therapy (iCBT) for children and young people (CYP). Undertaking a design thinking approach and working with clinicians and young people, the CYP programmes have now been recommended by National Institute for Health & Care Excellence (NICE).

This panel session, hosted by GovConnect, included Helen McGlinchey, Head of Services & Clinical Lead for Schools at Northpoint, Dr Katie Young, Principal Digital Health Scientist at Amwell and Douglas Hiscock, Behavioural Health Lead at Amwell.

In this recorded webinar the panel looked at:

  • The mental health challenges facing young people in a post-pandemic digital world
  • The rising challenges of supporting young people
  • How digital therapies can help support young people and mental health practitioners alike
  • The importance of supporting parents and carers of young people
  • The research that is validating the NICE recommendation.
